LOCATION
Located in the very heart of Amsterdam on one of the popular canal streets, this hotel is within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions and can be found just off one of the main shopping drags.
ROOMS
Due to the fact that this is an old building, all the rooms vary in size, however, they are all medium to large and all decorated to a high standard having recently benefitted from renovation. Some rooms have beamed ceilings, some have views on the

canal and all have traditional furniture. Most of the bathrooms have been renovated and these are also in very good condition, as are the bathrooms that have not been renovated, although the new bathrooms are very modern in style with tiled floors, gra

granite sinks and heated towel rails.
RESTAURANT
The breakfast room is located on the lower ground floor and is a large and beautiful old room with stained glass windows. There is a restaurant but this is not run by the hotel and this is also on the lower ground floor of the hotel although there is

a seperate entrance on the canal side of the property. This is quite a formal restaurant serving International cuisine, but is not the original Dikker and Thijs restaurant that this hotel used to be famous for.
EXTERIOR
This is a traditional building in keeping with the surrounding builidings found on many of the canal streets.
LOBBY
The lobby is small and bright with limited seating.
GENERAL
This is an excellent hotel with a prime location right in the heart of Amsterdam and is ideal for those seeking a typical Dutch experience.
